Comstock Arms S x S

I have a double barrel 12 gauge with markings "Comstock Arms Co. Duluth" on the receiver and "Missabe Fluid Steel" on the barrels.

"Pat. App. For" on the inside. S/N 4060

I know it is a hardware store gun because the librarian in Duluth found reference to a Comstock who owned a store.

Not a trade name for Crescent Arms. Who made it? Thanks.
