Help Kimber!!!
I have been a glock fan for a while and that's all I had till recently got a Springfield XD, and since I was a kid always wanted a 1911 style pistol so did a lot of shoping around and settle with kimber so everywhere I went when I said good quality the answer was KIMBER so today went to the range remember (brand new SS PRO CARRY) of course clean it up real well as the owners manual says.
also just like the manual says FMJ 230gr factory ammo Im shooting sudenly 3 round came out at onces so I said could be just my grip, so an other try and did it again [:(!][:(!] even the range people came rigth away and ask me what I was doing, the point is brand new Kimber and I have to send it back to have it chechk, I have lost confidence on the gun, with my glock thounsands of rounds and not even a problem and this brand new and almost double the price of glock and doesn't work, the guy of the gun shop said could be me (possible) the way I hold the gun and the recoil so I considering trade this thing in please advise!!!!!!!

I'm not sure what you are saying happened. Did the gun fire out of battery, ie. you pulled the trigger once and it fired 3 times? Or did it double feed on you?

Sorry if I not clear shot first round, when I pull the triger for the second round it was a 3 round burts and an other round and did it again! 0 -
If it is firing as you describe you have one very sick pistol, take it back to where you bought it and work through them to return it to Kimber so you won't have to pay the high shipping rate that non-FFL's are stuck with.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Just get a high capacity mag...sounds like fun to me......j/k [:D] 0 -
Before you get to excited at the dealer who sold it to you, or Kimber, I would recommend having someone that is familar with 1911 style guns shoot it. It might very well be how you were holding it if you are not that familar with it. If it was the gun, then by all means do what it takes to get it fixed or replaced. 0 -
Assuming this is a new gun and that it was not a used gun that you bought, send it back to Kimber via the gun dealer you bought it from. The gun is not suppose to fire multiple times on a single trigger pull as you have correctly noted. Not by any stretch of the imagination is this burst fire scenario due to the way you are holding the gun. It sounds like a sear problem that can be easily repaired by Kimber. Kimber has good customer service, and will usually go the extra mile to see that this kind problem is fixed to your satisfaction. Heck, I would ask them to tune the trigger to match quality for your time and trouble of having to send it back. You have bought a fine 1911, this is just one of those things that can happen to a 1911, or any auto of this style by any manufacturer.

I'm with Boomer. How could you possibly hold a pistol in such a way as that when you pull the trigger one time it fires off three rounds? If by chance it is the shooter, I will pay you to teach me this trick. Millions of dollars could be earned with this knowledge.[:D] 0 -
I would bet you are so used to the long heavy trigger pull of the Glock (compared to the Kimber) that you were squeezing the trigger on recoil after each shot. Have someone else test fire the Kimber before sending it back, someone who shoots alot of 1911 style pistols.
Just a thought, I could be wrong.

Before you send it back ... just for grins, pull the firing pin and clean it ... unlikely but it may not be anything but a partial of debris.

A friend of mine had a Kimber that I would give my right arm for! It just shoot so perfect! I would take it back to the dealer you got it from and send it back to Kimber to get it fixed. It's well worth it![8D][8D] 0
