Looking for approx last mfg date on a M&P 5 screw.
Trying to determine if it would be C&R or not

Steel is for guns Tupperware is for leftovers

22WRF, I am not Saxon Pig but thought I would answer your question since he doesn't seem to be on the forum this morning. The serial number you gave before you edited the post does not appear in Standard Catalog of S & W. I believe you had too many digits in it. The same book shows the upper side plate screw was deleted in 1955. I am no S & W expert but believe that would have been when the last 5 screw was made. If you will post or email me the correct sn I will look up the year of manufacture for you. hsgarner@tds.net

I think the question centered around C&R eligibility and I believe the answer to that is NO.

If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!
