    Hard to find.
Grips for the Standard/MkI have the screw holes opposite of the MKII.
Due to a change in the frame on the MKII.

You will just have to watch the auctions

Steel is for guns Tupperware is for leftovers

Standard and Mark 1's have two grip frames.1949 to about 1971 have the A54 grip frame with the Ruger medallion on the left grip panel. From about 1972 to 1982 they have the A100 grip frame with the Ruger medallion on the right grip panel. The A100 grip frame can use Mark II grips. When buying grips, just check the grip screw location and you can't go wrong.

Also check Sportsmans Guide. I think they advertized some 6 months ago.

EVILDR is correct. The later Mk1's and Standards use the same grips as the Mk II. They also use the same magazine---different from the early Mk I. (The mags with open slits on both sides are easily converted from one style to the other)
    Have fun, be careful!

I assume the right grip panel is the one in my right hand while shooing (if I am a righ handed shooter)?

When holding the pistol in your right hand, the right grip panel will be against the palm of your right hand. The safety is on the left side of the pistol.

Look up Lett Grips on the internet. They made and still make all of the custom grips for Ruger. They still make them for the MkI, I just got a set for a customer and they are awsome.
