Your rifle was made by the Berlin-Suhler Waffen & Fahzeugwerk, "BSW" in Suhl Germany. BSW were the successors to the Simson Co. and were in business between 1932 & 1940.

Both Simson and BSW made a number of different models of .22 rifles. Can't find the model number, "315" in the book. If you give the dimensions, ( barrel length, overall length ) and weight, it might be possible to pin down what specific model you have.

The markings on the barrel translate to:

'Fluid steel (made by) Krupp (foundry) in Essen, Prussia'.

Closest one I could find with the dimensions and weight, you've given me, is the so called "Neues Modell". It dates to 1932 and it most distinguishing feature was a "small oval, loading/ejection port".

Yup! That sounds like it! If this helps ID. it any futher, it has a blonde stock, and sling brackets/rings, one it the barrel and one in the stock. Karl
