question about BHP MKII sights
Hello, I have a question about the sights on the MKII. I took the pistol out this morning and fired a few rounds through it. I am certianly not the best marksman in the world, but when I fired a few groups of rounds it seemed to be shooting low and to the left. Next I tried another group setting down, with the gun held firmly on a table. I shot slow and deliderate, and gently squeezed the trigger, trying to be as steady as possible. Taking a fine bead on the target (thats how I like my guns sighted in) and it still shot about 14 to 16 in low and about 3 to 4 in to the left. I know I can take care of the 3-4 to the left, with the dovetail on the rear sight, but what is the best way to correct the 14-16 low? Do they make an adjustable rear sight that will slide into the dovetail, or one that is taller? What about filing down the front sight? I not sure I would want to do that, but if I did, how would I repair the finish? Maybe it would be better to just correct the windage problem and learn how to compensate for the "shooting low". Any ideas or suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
Best regards, Darrell Barron.

DB, My MK II has a spot in the barrel that gets "tight" or dirty from lead bullets. Once that happens, the gun shoots way out of line of sight. It will shoot a pattern a foot low or high or where ever. I corrected that by shooting only copper jackets. Someone on GB suggested using polishing compound to touch p the spot. I have not done that yet, but will tyr it later. SO the point I am making is be absolutely certain the barrel is perfectly clean. If not the problem, check Brownells.com they will have the sights you are looking for.
