I believe the 870 barrel will fit the 58,but does not have the gas hole to cycle the 58 action. Take your barrel off and find the hole, then try to look at an 870 barrel and you'll see the difference.Talk to a gunsmith about adding the gas port to the 870 bbl.You can do it yourself, but if your not carefull and get the hole size wrong you'll have problems. It's better to err on the small side as you can always go bigger, but hard to go back smaller.--Look for a barrel off of an older wingmaster with the polished blue finish.Ask around and talk to some people who are into shotgunning about someone who is competent doing this type of work.....good luck........[8D]

The 870 barrel will fit the model 58 but as stated before the 870 barrel will need to have the gas ports drilled to match the reciever. Also be sure to keep the chamber the same as the original. Another words if its a 2-3/4" chamber don't opt for a 3" or 3-1/2" with your new barrel because you could dammage the reciever.

Try this place, they are right across the street from the Remington factory and do a lot of repair/upgrade work for them. I think he told me a while back that they had a good supply of 58 barrels.
