30.06 Form Korea
Is there anything wrong with the 30.06 ammo on Garand clips manufactured in Korea? Seems inexpensive and plentiful;is there a catch?

There is some indication that this ammo is corrosive primed, I know of wholesalers who sell it as non-corrosive and other selling the same item stating that it is corrosive. I have not personally used or tested this ammo, so can only state what the seller of the amme say about it. This may explain why it is "cheap" as .30-06 goes. Actually as long as you clean the weapon properly there is nothing "bad" about corrosive ammo. 0 -
I bought some of that Korean ammo from www.centerfiresystems.com
They're having a free shipping sale going on, $74.97 for 384 rounds, in clips, bandoliers, and a 50 cal ammo can.
I haven't fired any of it yet, but it looks good, no rusted clips, etc.
Just don't let your gun go overnight without cleaning it after shooting any ammo you're not 100% positive is NOT corrosive in any way.

I've shoot a couple of cans of it. It functions well, I just assume that it's corrisive and clean accordingly. 0 -

the ammo is made on equipment they bought from us, we set it up, and we oversaw the initial training and production. that was a while ago, but most of the headstamps i have seen are from the 70`s. its shoots ok, groups ok, and i have had no stoppages or failures to fire. we sel it by the truck load here at the shop. best regards, mike.
