ROSSI 410 DOUBLE BARREL

Hello Ya'll
I was at a yard sale today, talking to a couple of old guys. One of which was moving. I brought up 410's and 22's He ask me if i would be intrested in a 410 double, I said sure. He brings out a Rossi 410 double "Overland". It has hammers. Said he bought it new years ago for his father inlaw. When he passed away his mother inlaw gave it back. I do not know if this gun has ever been fired. Anyway he said make him a offer, I offered him 200.00 and he took it. Not a scratch on the gun. Does anyone have any experince with these guns? How are they? I tramp a lot of gun shows and can never remember seeing one for sale. Now the big question. "DID I PAY TO MUCH"??? But I never see to many 410's for sale of any type. So did I do bad?     That was a good price. I have a friend who has been asking $600 for one for a couple of years. Of course, no one has paid it yet.

    I agree with the rest, if any .410 sxs is in decent shape i'd pay that in a heartbeat. Of course my woman is a sxs freak. Must be because she loves the old western guns.

    I've got another brand of external hammer .410 double barrel SxS available under $300 and it is excellent condition.

    I bought a 12 ga Rossi overland several years ago for $300. I'd say you did good.
