Got a older Sako AV in 375 H&H, does anyone if it is possible to get quick detach rings that will fit the dovetail?
If I put a base I won't be able to utilize my open sights if needed.

    I am considering a Sako Av in 338 win mag. The serial no. is 617xxxx. Wondering if somebody can tell me the year of manufacture, as well as if these are good rifles. How is the trigger on these rifles, and are they adjustable? Can I expect reasonably good accuracy from these rifles? Thanks.

    Carrs, I think more info is needed; at least for me. The old Sako's were marked OY SAKO AB, the manufacturer. What kind of other markings does your rifle have on it?
