how dificult to get a FFL

I was thinking of getting a license in new york to buy and sell antic guns. But I figure why not get the whole FFL. My question is how dificult is it to get this licence?

    I think you mean antique and license. NY is a tough state to get anything in.

    If you are talking about a C&R license v. a Type 01 license, go for the C&R. It is MUCH easier and cheaper than a Type 01. Hope that helps.

    Federal licenses are issued conditional to approval of your local authorities. Outside of NYC (which would like to be it's own state) things are easier, but from what I understand still not easy.

    A C&R in most any situation is an easier license to obtain. A Class-1 not only requires approval by local authorities your premises needs to meet minimum specs. and will be inspected before the license is granted. Also, BATFE wants to see a commercial, for profit operation that is doing more than a couple sales a month (home/hobby dealer).

    Now from this point forward, regardless of the type of license you want to get, if you want to go ahead and get one, contact BATFE and get the necessary publications, forms, etc.
