CZ-52 extended barrels
Can a barrel (or anything really) that is already threaded to 14-to-1 br RE-threaded to 1/2x28??
I mean is it physically possible, not is it a good idea. And I'm talking directly over the existing threads, not shortening the barrel and threading a new area.
Basically i am trying to get a 14-to-1 barrel from makarov.com to accept 1/2x28 muzzle device.
The adapter that makarov.com sells listed right below the barrels is 1/2x32 and not what i want.
thanks,

No!
Your talking trying to cut a finer thread over a coarser thread, thus trying to put threads on/in an area where metal is missing ... think butcher job.
Trying to thread finer or coarser over exiting thread is just not a good thing to do.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
That's the exact answer I needed. I'll just grab an extended barrel and have it threaded anew.
