Remington Rolling Block
I have acquired an Old Remington Rolling block action from an estate sale. I have two questions: what is something like this worth ( not that great of condition, but can be worked on by a gunsmith ), and since it has a serial# am I able to ship to someones home address or does it need to be shipped to a FFL dealer?
Thank You

Would you like to give us a little hint about which of the several models to choose from, condition of the one your looking at, or any other scrap of info. that may actually help us to help you.

You can go to http://www.remington.com/aboutus/history.htm and find out a few more details about your particular model rolling block. They come in .22 and .32 calibers at least. I am trying to find some parts for mine (Model 4)--breech block assembly. I have a lead through Lee's Gun Parts in Irving, TX
My rolling block is pictured at http://www.remington.com/aboutus/history/m4.htm
Good luck0 -
There is also the #5 Military carbine in 7mm caliber. Mine has sling swivels and a saddle ring. Value-wise, hard to say without seeing at least pictures, but I would say any where from $250-400 depending on condition, model, etc. Possibly more if extremely nice and/or unusual caliber (44-40 comes to mind.
