pedersoli vs. emf

I am looking to buy a long range sharps reproduction rifle planning on 45/120 so far all I have found in this caliber is pedersoli or emf I was wondering if anyone knows which would be the better quality rifle also found some brass on GB but it scares me said bases was bulged and primers were pushed partially out on the used brass I am assuming that this brass was overloaded any help would be appreeciated

  To the best of my knowledge Pedersoli is a Italian Manufacturer of reproduction firearms, whereas EMF is a American importer/distributor of similar firearms.
  
  It's possible that EMF sells Pedersoli manufactured firearms under their brand name?
  
  I definitely would not buy used brass on the auctions, If your going to buy a new rifle, get new brass for it.
  
  I would think hard and long about buying a 45/120, use to be into black powder guns years ago. Trust me on this when you load those 500 grain slugs with over 90 grains of Black it will knock you stupid. Stick with the 45-70, you will be a lot better off.

  pedersoli----pedersoli----pedersoli----pedersoli....also uberti, mostly pistols....think they were recently purchased by beretta....find out who mfg the item under a brand or importer...like navy arms or cimarron arms, cabelas....these are the far superior two mfg in my book

  Rufe is correct. EMF is strictly an importer. They are [or at least were at one time] agents for Pedersoli.I dealt with them for years since I lived only 45 mins from their "Store".The Pedersoli's I ordered for customers were very well made.I also would recommend the 45-70....no question about it.

  I have the pedersoli 45/120 in the Heavy target model It is very, very, nice looking and extreamly accurate. I bought my brass through Ballard rife Co. Or you can also get ".45 Basic" brass from cabellas.
  (.45 basic is also 3 1/4" long so you can trim to 45-110, 45-90, 45-70 etc)
