Browning 22 Semi-Auto Rifle SN Location

I am unable to locate the SN on my little rifle. The Browning website indicates it should be located on the lower right of the receiver. There is not a SN on the receiver nor can I seem to locate it elsewhere. Any suggestions? I am attempting to determine the value to sell it.

  Some of the older ones had it stamped in the metal ring that holds the magazine tube in the butt of the stock.
