Question about the CZ 2075
I have been looking for a summer time concealable firearm with the following parameters (its hot here in Missouri so I'm talking hiking in the woods, shorts, T-shirt):
The above plus .40 or .45 caliber.
semi-auto
reliable and accurate as far as a 3" barrel can be accurate.
Not too expensive but not junk either.
I like the Para's but the prices...
I like the Smith and Wesson CS40 but have heard mixed things about this pistol.
So far, it seems as if only the Glock 27 (.40 S&W) and the Kahrs fit the description. But they can be a bit pricey.
CZ has a new subcompact called the CZ 2075. It can be had in .40 and from the particulars, fits in size between a Walther PPK and a FEG PA-63. That would about do it for me. Does anyone have any information on whether or not this is an okay pistol?

It looks like a cut down CZ40B. I have a CZ40B and it is a great gun. CZ makes great guns, I would not hesitate to get one of these new ones, if you can find one already. 0 -
For Char:
Thanks a bunch! That is what I wanted to read. I didn't even know they existed. I went to their website, I have always liked CZ's, to check on the CZ 93 and saw the new pistol. I thought, this is what I have been looking for!!! If I do get one, it won't be before this summer. But it doesn't hurt to plan and save.0 -
If you want one, you had better get it now. I recieved an e-mail from CZ this morning telling me that the initial run of these is limited to 300 guns then they are going over to 9mm.

Notpars - I picked up my 2075 day before yesterday. It got rave reviews, not only mine but those of the gunshop gang and an ordnance expert former military guy who's a colleague of mine. Mine's a .40.
It fits, with pocket holster, in my bomber jacket. Good balance. A bit of weight to partially control muzzle flip, but about equal in weight to my Colt Defender, also a .40. We compared it at the store, and it's similar in size to a Glock 27, the .40.
Move fast if you want it. My gunshop owner vendor was aggressive and ordered it quickly.
As GUN TESTS would say, Buy It.0 -
For Richbug: You made my day with the intel on the Walther but not with this. I won't be able to order until the summer. Too late then. I will check out the Kahr MK40 I guess. I want something the size of a Walther with a larger caliber and then I'll go for the Walther for my wife. Again, thanks! 0 -
For NickCWinter: You made me want this pistol more but I can't buy it now so I guess I will be out of luck. Why only a limited run? Gee, you find the right pistol and they pull this on me. 0 -
This is a copy of part of the e-mail I recieved this morning, sounds like they are switching over for now to 9mm. maybe they will go back.
The RAMIs in .40 caliber are being sold now. Word is that the 9mms
are
not far behind. There is a new CZF
CLUB for the CZ40-P Limited Edition
(of 300) .40 Compacts. This is CZUB's intitial response for a .40
Compact. Using both P-01 and 40B
parts, it should be quite interesting
