Shotgun beads

I am considering adding one of the light gathering sights to my clay target shotgun. Does anyone know the thread size for a Remington 1187 front bead?

  According to Brownells it is 6-48

  HI-VIZ makes a magnetic sight and you don't have to remove the bead.

  MOST REMINGTON VENT RIB SHOTGUN BEADS ARE 'CRIMPED' IN, ONCE REMOVED THE HOLE CAN BE TAPED FOR 6X48 THREADS. EASYEST WAY TO REMOVE THEM IS WITH A VISEGRIP, CLAMP ON TO THE SIGHT AND TWIST AND PULL, BEING CARFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE RIB.
