Cash Value of S&W Model 15-3
I was wondering the cash value of a S&W Model 15-3, .38 Special, S# 3K156**, Pachmayer grips, some bluing worn, maybe custom trigger (the pull is very light)?
Thanks!

My book has it at $200 Ezec condition
Auction prices seem to support that

$200-250 is a good range in auction format because of shipping and transfer costs if the buyer isn't an ffl.
Gun shows in this part of the country $300-325 is not unusual for 15's in top condition. Usually about a $25+/- difference between private and dealer sales with the pvt. being the higher.

I have seen some good buys on these. I picked one up for $175 in excellent condition. They are not very popular because there are a lot of them for sale including police trade-in. Most people prefer a 4" 19 357 magnum. It is basically the same pistol with the extra ability to shoot the stronger cartridge. 0 -
If the trigger feels really light, take the grips off and check the strain screw to see that it is tightened down. Its on the front of the grip frame and tensions the leaf style spring inside the grip frame.
