    Most of the larger libraries have good reference sections on firearms so you can do some research w/o any out of pocket expense.

    As far as antique arms dealers ... the rifle is old, but there are a lot of 'em out there and no real "antique" angle. However, there are fella's that collect military arms and there is interest within that community.

    Try hittin a couple gun shows in your area and see who has Mausers, talk with them. Also do some internet research for both information on the rifles and interest groups.

    Both of the above good answers. Check with one of the gentlemen who collect and deal in old german military rifles. But they will need all the codes and numbers off of the rifle and probably a good picture of two to really answer your questions. Good Luck.
