First... Not what you think! This is a trade gun of utility grade and a very common item. It WASN'T made in St. Louis.

You fail to adequately describe the gun, so I'll make some guesses...

I'll assume non-damascus construction and a lack of proof stamps on the barrel flats. If I'm correct, then a domestic product. I'd expect either cast steel or fluid steel tubes (the former could be as dangerous as damascus if fired with a modern load).

Assuming a domestic, then made by Stevens or Crescent. Possibly one of the other "minor" manufacturers.

Timeframe and value isn't possible to answer with the data supplied, but I can safely say that you shouldn't plan to retire on the proceeds of a sale.

Central Arms Company was a trade name used on shotguns made for the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Manufacturers included W.H. Davenport and Crescent Arms. As with the other hardware store branded double barrel shotguns, value will be in the range of $125-$150 unless it is extremely good or bad condition.

yep its me ,same one for 4 years now
