Glock rifling
I bought a new 3rd generation Glock 20 today and inside it had a small packet that had 2 fired 10mm shells. Both of them have oval marks from the firing pin. They look like they were fired cleanly, but then drug across it when extracted - is that sound at all normal?
Second, on the outside of that packet, it said the gun has hexagonal rifling. Did it change, or is this the same thing as polygonal or what?
I've got it at the 'smiths getting the sights swapped. I've really seriously been thinking of just getting the grip reduced on the G20 instead of getting a G29... I dunno about that yet though. [8)]
The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...

The marks are typical of a Glock. If you look at the firing pin you will see that it is oval in cross section. All of these leave a drag mark. I can tell when I pick up fired brass which ones were shot in a Glock. The rifling has 6 polygon groves. A fellow I know had the grip of his 21 reduced and it felt a lot better to me. I bought a model 30 instead of a 21 because of the size of the grip. 0
