Contender ????

Hello,

I have a contender with 2 barrels, both of which are marked super 16. Will 10 or 14 inch barrels fit also or do they all have to be marked "super"?

    the 10" barrels will fit. the screw holes on the 16" are different.

    The barrels will fit your frame, but the forends will be different from the 16 and 14 to the 10 inch.

    [:D][:D][:D] If your Contender is blue the blue and ss bbls will interchange,the armolite /amralloy what ever they made for awhile are not to be interchanged with the the other frames, the new G-2 Contenders are to be able to use the old bbls also. NOTICE there were minor frame changes to the Contender over the yrs, and you may find a bbl. that will fit ,but open hard and may misfire etc.Sometimes its as easy as changing the locking lug on the bbl. best to contact TC if you run into the problem. have fun Contenders are cool.[:D] [:D] [:D]

    Thanks guys, I did have a gunsmith "adjust" the 44 barrel after I bought it and the 222 shoots great. I was just considering that if I found some cheap barrels I didn't want to be stuck with them not fitting my frame.

    "cheap" is relative,of course,but......
    I've never seen a cheap contender barrel.danged things seem to go up,not down.To me ,a cheap one would be fifty bucks.Fat chance! :)
