Colt 1903
Is the slide of a Colt 1903 numbered? I have had a couple of these and do not recall ever seeing a numbered slide. I have a gentleman who would like to purchase one from me and the one I have is not numbered. I would at lease like to be able to tell him if they are suppose to be numbered or not. Any help is always appreciated.

I have an old COLT 1903 .32 cal. that was passed on to me from a relative. The serial number stamped on the gun is 11200. I was just wondering if someone could help me figure out how old this gun is and how much it is worth. thanks.. 0 -
Looks like it was made between 1904 and 1905. Here's a link.

Go here, do the quick search for your gun, then click on production dates on the right side. - Toe0 -
Welcome 2speed- As far as value is concerned, when the Colt guys stop by they're gonna want alot more info.Overall condition...percentage of blue...description of grips...condition of bore...etc.
Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob0 -
You have a very early model with a barrel bushing and 4 inch barrel. It sounds nice! They shoot like a dream.
Like mentioned, condition is everything.
Like are the grips cracked (most were) and worn?
Is the bluing worn or in good shape.
One item to look for is the trigger and safety lever, they were fire blued and should be a bright blue unlike the finish on the gun itself.
If these items are fire blued it's a good indication that it is original.
90 to 100% condition +or- 1000.00
75 to 80% cond. +or- 350.00
Big difference if the condition is not there.
I measured it and cut it twice, and it's still too short!0
