I've heard a lot of complaints about them not being reliable. They're discontinued too which will make service issues a bit more difficult. For what they're selling for you might want to save a few more bucks and buy an Rem 1187

I purchased one in like new condtion at a local auction , after having for a little while and never using it I decided to trade it off , I could NOT get any gun shop to take it in on trade nobody wanted it , i guess that says a lot about them 0 -

The 9200's were discontinued. There was several problems with that particular gun. Forearms splitting a common one. I havent heard anything about the new 935's though.
God gave us all a gift. Have you found yours yet ?0 -
9200's...okay gotcha. Thanks!
had me worried for a second, I don't pay much attention to Mossbergs, but I like that 935 and planned to check them out this weekend.
Thanks again MFI

I've had my son shooting a 9200 for many years for skeet and sporting clays. These have all been target loads, but it has taken every reload without a jam, it patterns well, and works well as long as properly cleaned. The wood is not high quality.
While I would never consider a semi auto for competition, it has been a very good inexpensive shotgun. That being said, for a few bucks more I'd go for an 1100 or 11-87 as there are many for sale and parts are everywhere.

My wife purchased a 9200 for me several years ago for a birthday present. I had some prblems with it from the start, but nothing unbearable, maybe 5% of the time it would misfeed. I eventually sent it back to Mossberg, and they repaired it and sent me back a a certificate with it stating that it now had a lifetime warranty instead of the 10 years one listed in the original owners manual. No problems since, exept it still won't turn splits under .30 seconds without the hammer following down on the bolt.
