J C Higgins model 50 in 30-06
My uncle got a J C Higgins model 50 in 30-06 cal. in a swap for a springfield mil-spec 1911. The rifle is in mint condition with the owners manual in the original wooden case with a scope. It has a belgium action and all serial #s match. I was just curious if anybody could give me any info. and about what its worth. I told him he was one lucky SOB, am I wrong?

Welcome Robert- You were not wrong. The rifle was manufactured by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for Sears up until the mid to late 1960's. FN actions are a Mauser 98 design, and IMHO they don't get any better than FN. Someone else will have to help on the current value.
Love them Pre-64's!!!!-Bob0 -
Don't have it in any of my books, but here is one that was on GB.
$475 Buy it now, but didn't sell or no bids.
But maybe a ball park number for you
