Remington 700 stock
I have a Remington 700 VLS in 6mm Remington. Really don't care for the stock, but I do like the stock on my 40X 7.62. The 700 VLS in 6mm Rem fits the 7.62 length action and would fit in the 40X stock if bedded specifically for it. What difference if any is there between the 40X short action stock and this Remington 40XB short action stock carried by Numrich Arms?

What can I use to remove the finish on the remington 700 laminated stocks? Thanks 0 -
brownells sells a stripper for the epoxy finishes 0 -
I would use steel wool,start with super fine and see what results you get if its not working for you go a course at a time until you get your results OR sand paper using the same method. I would NOT use any liquid strippers on a laminated stock it may damage the Glue in the laminations.Just my experience with a Lamo i did a few years ago.
