More on the mini-14 . .
I asked about the value of a pre-ban mini-14 yesterday. Flash supressor, folding stock, blue finish, factory hi-cap mag.
Serial number is . . .
1A1-45763
Does all this match up?? Any idea what this is worth? Sorry, no pic available.
Thanks

serial number should start with 180-185. 1A1 does not sound correct to me. Lets asume it is 181 OK Is the folding stock factory or a after market like butler creek? A Factory Folding stock adds as much as $300.00 to the price. The factory stock has a wooden fore arm and a tobe stock that locks into place when folded by a pin on the wood fore arm. If its plastic or a plastic composit it is not factory. Is it blue or SS?

gap - 1A1 could be 181. Gentleman at the shop has a very heavy chinese accent, and I called to get the serial over the phone. I've done business with him before - very honest, decent guy, but on more than one occasion I have been unable to understand what he is trying to tell me. So, if 1A1 is an impossible number, than lets assume it's 181.

It looks like a butler creek stock to me. I believe - but am not certain - that the weapon was formally owned by an LEO.
It is blue, not SS. And it is definately not a factory stock - I can say that for certain now.0 -
I would say from the information you have given me the rifle is worth no more than $400.00 to $450.00. How many hi caps and if they are Ruger mags would make the difference. I hope this helps.

You're questions + insight have been above and beyond the call. Thanks MUCH for your help. Seller is asking $500, which seems to be relatively in line - a little high - but some work on my part and I'm prettty close! I can always count on the GB crowd for good info . . . [:D]0
