SKS to AK conversions

I've recently been looking at Stocks for my SKS that say it convert it to take AK47 clips, but I'm not sure if they actually work or not. I was wondering if someone that knows about this or has tried it could give me some input. Thanks.

  The stock won't convert it to take AK mags. A lot of stock manufacturers make seperate stocks for the regular SKS (fixed mag) and for the SKS-M and SKS-D models (factory configured for AK mags). The main difference is the length of the magwell. The SKS-D/M had a shorter magwell as opposed to the regular SKS which has the fixed mag with the rather long swingarm on it.
