What are the most desirable calibers all else equal?

  I have a colt bisley, but it is a 22 cal. has it been changed ? If so,how do you find out what it was changed from? Thks. fowl

  I would say the .455 Eley would be the most in demand. Next the .45 Cal., followed by the .44-40. Then the .41, the .38-40 and the .32-20.

  Desirable? Collectible? Shootable? According to Flayderman the rarest caliber is .38 Special, only two made. Flat top target model is rarest configuration. Any caliber other than .32-20, .38-40, .41, .44-40 or .45 are among the rare calibers.
