H&R 38 pistol model #925
I have a H&R 38 short barrel approx. 2 1/2" long 5 shot revolver model 925 blue finish. The barrel breaks down to reload.Does anyone know anything about this revolver?
How much is it worth and approx. what year?
Thanks in advance

Xracer has covered the technical side. I'll take a swipe at the practical.
925's are good little revolvers, and fun to plink with. Marginal as defensive weapon, but it it is all you have then use what you've got, just get some defensive ammo for it.
Speaking of ammo the 38 S&W is getting a little harder to find and expensive when you do find it.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
charles,
if you tell me what the letter codes are in front of the serial number i can tell what year your revolver was manufactured.
manufacture dates were 1964 to 1980, letter code should be some where between "aa" and "au".
