Welcome! -- Everyone has their personal preferences. I would suggest that you decide first if you know if you want a push feed action or a controlled round feed with claw type extractor. Some people prefer the CRF up in that country where they may run into something that might hunt them. They can't be short cycled causing jams and insure positive extraction to lesson chances of a struck case after you fire once.Might look into that if it concerns you. Of the ones you have listed I think the H-S Precision is the most quality bang for the buck. The Pro-Hunter series are an awesome gun for the money and guaranteed to shoot 1/2" groups.--If your interested in a factory gun,for my money, it's hard to beat a remington model 700 for out of the box accuracy and value.Other good values are the Tikka rifles and the CZ rifles. I've shot several newer CZs and all were very accurate for factory stock rifles. The Tikkas are made in the same plant as the SAKO rifles and don't leave the factory unless they shoot less than MOA accuracy. The remingtons and Tikkas have more choices for types of stocks and finishes if you want something along the lines of stainless, synthetic or laminated than the CZs which are more traditional guns with mainly walnut and blue steel.-- Just my two cents worth.......Good Luck.......[8D]

I like a 700 on a V-block and a Mc Millan sniper stock by any quality smith who will take the time to communicate. I've got a 30-338 that I'm fond of because it doesn't beat up my ballistic tips in the magazine, but from an accuracy stand point I'd like to try that new ultra mag because it doesn't sport a belted case.

I had some moose meat lately and if that caribou is anything like that then your in for a real treat.

    Good Luck

The Remington custom shop KS mountain rifle should fit the bill nicely. It is avaliable in left hand. That ina 338RUM should fill the bill nicely. An excellent rifle at a price that leaves money for the other things you might need on your upcoming hunt.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Only some have film.

You've been given some good advice as far as your rifle is concerned. I might add that many of the better factory rifles are hard to beat now, such as the latest Kimber offerings...

I'd also like to say welcome to GB and please do us all a favor and don't use ALL-CAPS. Most interpret it as shouting and it is hard to read. I'm not harpin' on ya, just tryin' to get you goin' on the right track here on these forums. You'll find it's a great place to find information or just have fun. [:)]

The 10mm - either you've got it, or you don't get it...

Hi, thank you for your response and advice. I called Kimber and they said they will not have a left hand rifle until next year. I'm going to take a closer look at the Model 70.

Hi He Dog, thanx for your response. Dakota Arms has merged with Nesika. I did call them and they are about 9 months out to complete a gun order. Too long as I am leaving in September.

Another to consider is the Tikka T3. They are an outstanding rifle in the $500 range. They're using Sako hand crowned barrels and are claiming 1" out of the box. Ive shot a few, and I'm absolutly am in love. Super smooth and they come in left hand.
