You may be just the guy I am looking for, I also have 700PSS in .308 but so far I have not been able to find any one who can tell me whst the difference is between the Remington 700PSS & the 700P models Do you know if there is any differance between the two and what it may be? I can't find anything obvious between them except maybe for the stock.
As to your question, I spend a lot of time on {Elsewhere} in fact that's where I got my Rem 5R Milspec by TRADEING! A fowl word around here LOL. I have seen several P models and a few PSS's for sale or requested to buy. The average price forthe bare rifle, or just with a base goes around $750-900, the Leupold ought to run $700 give or take, only about $80 for the bi-pod if it swivels, the Pelican case I would ask $225 for & the McMillan A4 stock would command a real premium say $450-600.
The only draw back to listing is you have to be a member of {Elsewhere} & have made 100 posts on any of the subjects listed, which may take some time, but there is also no fee for listing even if you sell. Take a look at it.

Along with this post being from 2004, you need to read the Posting Guidelines.

    Best.

I got my PSS in a trade, so no box or papers, but the original owner insisted it was a PSS & he had only put less than 100 rds thru it & the condition of the gun seemed to bear him out. I got it from him in 2008, the bbl code says Jan 2005 production. So that seems like a reasonable time frame for a new gun to be used a few rds & change hands. So I may have one of the last ones made before a name change

    Sorry Mod, I won't mention {Elsewhere} again.
