Who makes mounts that will take the Big red dot type scopes for this pistol

  Leupold should make a base for this gun. You'll need HIGH 30mm rings. The clearance on the 30mm red scope sights require high rings. I had a problem with this same situation on a S%W 629. I bought the wrong rings, THEN bought the right ones!! Good luck.

  I've used them on a super redhawk in 454 and also a super blackhawk , great mounts

  I just mounted a red dot to my Ruger S.R.454.
  
  I purchased a Weaver base plate which clamps to the ring mounts as well as using the ruger rear sight mount to secure it.
  
  This is the strongest adapter I could find.
  
  With the rail in place I used leupold rings with my sight, and placed the centersection of the sight snug against the front ring.
  
  I have put a maybe 80-or-so rounds through it and it has held zero so far.
