garand question (again)

where can u purchase a throat erosion gage? could one be made? is using a bullet a good way to check the muzzle/bore? thanks for the help

  I have both a Muzzle Wear gauge & a Throat Erosion gauge; the MW is a lot more important in determining the rifles accuracy. Yes, you can use a round of M2 ball ammo, but that's not nearly as accurate; when using it at a gunshop, be sure to explain what you are doing, first.
