Value of Colt Sauer .25-06 ?

I have a Colt Sauer .25-06 sporting rifle and was wondering what it is worth. It is in excellent if not brand new condition , no wear marks anywhere. beautiful wood stock that looks like walnut but im not sure. It has a Redfield 3-9x40 "square sight" scope mounted to it.

  Seen one in gunshow this weekend at $1500, about same shape. Usually see them from $1200 - 1500. I think these are real world prices, not dreamin prices!

  I have absolutely no idea but RancheroPaul whom frequents this site is
  publishing a book (I believe) on these guns. If not correct, he is publishing one book on Colt's.

  pack rat633 has the pricing pretty much in line. However, the value assigned by the Blue Book of Gun Values is much lower than the average market. These are now "Collector Guns" of which there aren't a lot of them......especially for sale.......so with supply and demand, prices are "UP" on these! NOT made by Colt, but made in Germany by J. P. Sauer and Sohn for Colt and imported between 1974 and 1985. Excellent quality and fit and finish. Colt's Last "Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price" for your gun was $1,257.00 when new! Just a little added trivia......
