Ruger 10/22 Bullpup stock?
I have seen ruger bullpup stocks for sale from bushmaster for 99.00 and was wanting to know how easy is it to convert a ruger 10/22 to a bullpup 10/22? and how does the scope mount work on the bullpup stock?
Thanks

Fairly easy conversion. Remove stock, place action and barrel in the fitted sections of the new stock. Install trigger slide and insert pin through hole in slide at ruger actions trigger, bolt down other half of stock.
Site rail mounts by screw that comes from underneath the handle through a hole that is provided.
They can be fun to plink with, but forget 'em as a target piece. They do a nice job of making cans and trash pile rats dance.
Only drawback is that you should add an extended mag release to make it easier to get the clips in and out, and you can use the higher capacity "hi-caps" because the pistol grip interfears with the mag.
If your interested in a bull pup conversion drop me an email.

I have a bullpup 10/22 and it is easy to do the conversion. The stock is two halves which are held together with several allen-head screws and is fitted inside for the 10/22 barrel and receiver. The scope mount fits on the carry handle but isn't too sturdy from what I've heard.

PS: you can use the Truncator or Butler Creek hi-caps if you mill the tip of the back corner of the pistol grip. I did on mine to allow the use of the hi-caps. I'd second the advice about the extended mag catch, I need one badly, mag changes are a PITA.

just stumbled across this message so i hope it aint too late to post...
i'm getting rid of my bullpup stock for my 10/22... it is in fine shape (i think it was out at the range once). anyhow, the pistol grip has had a small corner removed via drimmel tool to accept high caps. the stocks are pretty expensive brand new (not worth it in my opinion) but fun nonetheless. they look pretty cool too. if you would be interested in getting one i'll let you have mine for 50 plus shipping. anyhow, take 'er easy!
