your comments on the sight pictures, how far you can accurately shoot it with a specific firearm, and the performance in low light/Bright light will be appreciated. Also, any specific problems with either?

I have the Bushaell HOLO model 450LE, works good on everything I have put it on, Ruger MKII, AR15, Mini 14. It's good in the sun and it comes with a Filter Element, thats for Dusk & Dawn shooting.. But I never have had it on. At 300 yards with my AR15, it was about a 10" group. 100 yards it was DEAD ON! fishermanben, The Bushnell Holosight is one of the most amazing creations to hit the gun world as far as I'm concerned! The target aqusition is so fast compared to other types of sights(red dots or scopes)! Both eyes open and if you can see the intended target at whatever distance it's at you can instantly put the "dot" on it! The "dot" in the holosight is only 1MOA whereas a lot of the RedDot sights are 4-7MOA! Using the holosight I have made groundhog kills consistently in the 2-300 yard range using an XP-100 in 7BR and the longest, measured witnessed shot was 376 yards! Albeit that one would probaly qualify as a "Horseshoe up my butt" shot! The brightness of the reticle is adjusted for differing light conditions by a button that gives you about 11 different varying degrees of brightness. My preference for reticles in the holosight is the "standard" reticle which has the 1MOA dot surrounded by a lit circle versus just the dot. The dot also doesn't need to be centered in the sight picture! It can be high, low, right, left, doesn't matter! Wherever the dot is that's where you are aimed! Good luck and WELCOME to the board!! GHD

I think the Bushnell holo sight is an OLDER version of the EOTECH holo sight.

I have the AIMPOINT and it is the best thing since sliced bread. When I get my MAC-10 and AC556, I will put either another AIMPOINT or an EOTECH Holosight on them.

The Bushnell will work fine and it will save you $50.00 over the EOTECH. It is probably ALMOST as good as the EOTECH.

never had a Eotech holo sight but do have 4 Bushnell holosight , never had a problem with any of them and they are every thing GHD said they where , battery life is very good and with the newer Holosight II its a matter of flipping a small lever , remove battery cover , dump old batteries put new ones in , put cover back on, close lever

I believe the Bushnell is the same as the EOTech, only with a plastic housing. EOTechs are aluminum.

Does the bushnell have the front and rear sight picture (cross hairs in circle)like the eotech does?
