M-1 Garand ww2 cartouches
After 3 months of looking finally came across a S.A. '45 stock in good
condition. Rifle is S.A. #3,656,66**. Barrel is 3 SA 3 45. All parts
agree with Scott Duffs book. Stock is cartouched with a square with
S A and under it NFR (about 3/4" square). Along side of it is the
crossed cannons in a double circle (about 1/2" diameter. On pistol grip
is a circle with a P in it. Is this the proper stock? The metal is
in like new condition, handguards are almost perfect, this stock is in
good/very good condition. I am not really up on stock cartouches.
This is a old DMC rifle and was given the papers from DCM with it.
The stock that came with the rifle was a sad piece of work that I am sure was not original to this rifle.
