Colt -Civil War Centinnial
I have just acquired a Colt genuine Civil War Centennial Pistol mounted. It also has a plaque that says Patent fine arm Mfg. Co. INC. Hartford Conn. Any one have any information or know if it is worth any thing.

I have a similar item, I am guessing your Colt has no serial number, neither does mine.
It was a display item, not meant to be sold, rather to intice dealers, etc. They must have been produced in limited numbers, I doubt if they made much over a hundred, sent out to Colt distributors, mine came through Hodgdon's.

Without seeing it I think you have a display or advertising piece. It is not an actual Civil War weapon. However, with that said some of these display items bring a pretty good dollar in their own right.

You have a Colt commemorative pistol issued in 1961. Over 24,000 were made, so they are not rare. They were sold by Colt dealers, although they were actually made by a contractor for Colt. They are single shot (.22 short); the cylinder must be removed for loading. I don't recommend trying this, as just about any handling will cause visible wear.
If absolutely mint, with box/packing material, it would probably sell in the $200-250 range.
