Locked topic

I submitted a post that I was getting some great dialogue and info from then all of a sudden it became locked and the ability to interact was lost. I'm not sure where all the lines are, but it seemed like everybody was within them.

I'm new so could someone shed some light on why a topic might become locked?

  If it was in this forum, that is the 'Ask the Experts", then it probably got locked after 10-12 posts because at that point the moderator of the room figures it has been "hashed out" enough.
  
  If you want some further insight into the subject then head over to the "General Discussion" forum and repost the subject. Those guys over there love hashing, and re-hashing, and re-hashing, and well you get the idea.

  Yes, the Wizard of EX. is out to befuddle you with stoppage of flowing ideas.
  Join the rowdy bunch in Window F., and leave the Realm on EX. until you really must know the tensile strength of a 1/16" wide ejector spring on an Excal RX22 PPK clone, or similar information.[:D]

  Yup.....the Captain runs a pretty taut ship here. Somedays, when he's off exploring a Galaxy far, far away, we manage to run amok a bit.....but not often. [:D]
