What company makes Winchester M70 stock
For christmas I bought myself a Win M70 375H&H "classic stainless", nice gun almost new and a great scope. I'm not a big fan of "synthetic" so I had this great idea to get a laminated stock for it, I think this would look great kind of a larger version of Win Coyote. I checked with Winchester and the parts people in Conn. are no help, if it takes more than 2 seconds to look it up you are outta luck. Inside the "Syn" stock it says "Long action heavy barrel" I'm sure in years past this configuration in laminated has been made, any ideas how I can get Winchester to look it up? Who makes these stocks for Winchester? I've already looked at other laminated stock makers and I'd like to exhaust the possibility of finding the M70 look, feel etc.

Good luck. If money is not a big concern, you have plenty of options. Dozens of custom stock makers out there. I had the exact same frustration with Winchester. Even a nice letter to the president, got me nothing but pi$$ed. I ended up trading the gun in last month. Will have nothing further to do with them. Too bad too, I liked the rifle.

Snellstrom,
This is probably the best source for high quality laminated stocks. These are not the plywood versions that have become the bane of rifle buyers. Take a look and see what I mean. I have no affiliation with this supplier at all but I do appreciate their contribution to rifle stocking.
Best.
