Whats the difference between a Ruger.270 Standard and a .270WSM? Sorry But I am a little slow.

I believe they are referring to the .270 Winchester (made on the '06 case, been around since ?) and the newish .270 Winchester Short Magnum, one of the new wonder cartridges (short,fat, big case capacity). The muzzle velocity is higher, and the case is shorter enabling it to be used in a shorter action, ie shorter bolt stroke, shorter rifle, more expensive ammo, something "new" for those that have to have the latest and greatest. 0 -
