No. The registration period under the California ban has long since expired.0 -
In a word just in case your don't believe EOD. Who is quite knowledgible about CA laws.
NO.
The last time this was possible was Dec. 31, 1999.0 -
Yes.
If you remove the lower receiver and install a FAB10 lower. Fixed magazine. Do not bring the other lower receiver into the State.

"POSSESSION OF "ASSAULT WEAPONS"0 -
According to the site posted by the above, does this mean he can bring it in?
A person moving into California who is in lawful possession of an "assault weapon" shall do one of the following: (1) prior to bringing the "assault weapon" into the state, obtain a permit from the Department of Justice, or (2) cause the "assault weapon" to be delivered to a licensed gun dealer and then obtain a permit from the Department of Justice.0 -

Even though there is a provision in the law to obtain a permit, the DOJ will not issue one to an ordinary citizen. Legally, you can obtain a permit for a fully automatic weapon also, but they are not issued.0 -
I already live in ca. I was told if it was a transfer between imediate family members you could do it.

By whom? Better not let the CDOJ (California Department of Justice) find out. In fact, you should call them up and ask. They'll tell you that you can't do it.0 -
If I uderstand correctly EDO & Silverbox are correct
However You can take it "Out of state" only- No transfers in CA.
As I understand it in Calif with mine the options are
1- I may only give it to Law Enforcment
2- Destroy it
3- Sell it out of the state of Calif.
