H&K Model 630
A customer brought in a H&K model 630 in .223. The problem I am having is that the bolt is hard to open from the battery position. There is a very Strong spring on the bolt its self that pushes on a locking bar of sorts that locks in the bolt. My question is, how do I get the bolt to open easier or I need a phone number to someone to talk to about this gun. This is the first on of these I have seen in 36 years of gunsmithing. Please e-mail me at ronjudy@trvnet.net if you have any help

What would be the value of an H&K model 630 in 98% condition? There's one here in town for sale for, just wondering if it's a deal or not.
This one does have the factory scope mount if that makes a difference.

Whatever its value, it will be overpriced since it's an HK.....[:0]

Here is another smart alekky comment. [;)]
What the book says is usually higher that it would actually sell for.
So take this with a grain of salt.
The book says
100% = $1,175
98% = $995
95% = $875
90% = $750
down to 60% = $500
Add $350-$400 for factory H&K scope mount system.
I would look in GunBrokers "sold" auctions and see what it has been listed for, bid up to, AND what is has SOLD for, if any have been sold. Gives you a real life price of what people are willing to pay.

Hello: I've owned several of the HK 630's. I sold the latest purchase for $1200.00. Near new condition 95%. The purchaser was a gun dealer, and I know he was planning on reselling to one of his customers. I've seen several near new (with box) sell at local gun auctions for $1150 to $1250. Does yours have both the five and ten round clips? Is the scope mount an actual HK mount, or is it a B-Square? These rifles are great for coyote hunting. My current 630 shoots cheap factory ammo very well. Don't plan on reloading, as the ejection system shreads cases. Thousands of rounds and mine has never jammed or malfunctioned in any way. Some might claim that these little rifles are over rated; but when I crack open my gun safe the 630 is the one I always case up and slide into the back of the truck. There is a strong market for these rifles. I don't want to get into a debate about "good . . . better . . . best" or what's better for the money. There is a strong HK following that I'm sure is driving the price up; but performance is a close second in enhancing the value. 0
