garand question
I recently aquired a CMP H&R Garand, and had the good fortune to get one with almost all HRA parts. The only non HRA part I find is an SA op rod. Drawing number on op rod is 6535382 SA. My first thought was to find an HRA op rod to make everything match, but then someone on another website mentioned that some of the early H&R's were issued with SA op rods. Any input and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

It means that part was made by Beretta.

It means that the part was made by the Italian firm of Breda Meccanica Bresciana, otherwise known as BREDA. Beretta made parts are stamped PB.

Mark is right, of course. Don't know what I was thinking.
