Peacekeeper

A friend just ask me for information on a Colt Peacekeeper (.357 mag). NOT Peacemaker! Can someone give me some info?

    A friend showed me a 357 mag. colt that looked liked a python but with parkarized finish. It was called a peacekeeper. Does anyone know about this pistol. He is thinking about selling it. Should I buy and for how much.

    Colt only made it for a couple of years. It's the Trooper MK III with a tie. Nice weapon. What else you want to know?

    If it is the hand gun I am thinking of p3 is correct. I beleive they came with a 6 inch barrel. They were all matt black. They all had a vent rib but not a full under lug like the Python.

    They made them in stainless with a shroud. 6 inch bbl. Looks like a Python.

    My best guess would be less than the Python and more than the Trooper Mk3. [8D]

    they are matte black finish and come only in 4 and 6 inch barrels. they have a rib, but do not have a full lug under the barrel. they have a large rubber grip and a double action trigger. they also have the transfer bar hammer-action. it also has adjustable sights. i have a 6 inch barrel and it shoots great. paid only 300 for it. guy said it only had 1 cylinder shot out of it.

    This is one hand gun I would not mind owning. It is not in hi demand like the python but every bit as good. [8D]

    Just sold the one I bought back in the late '80's. It's actually the Trooper MK V with a dull matte finish. Barrel length was either 4" or 6". They were not offered in stainless. The King Cobra was offered in stainless and had a full lugged barrel. It(Peacekeeper) had a vent rib just like the MK V, and no full length underlug where the Python did. Shot great, very accurate. The finish sucked. Tool marks all over it, and the matte would rust in a second if you didn't keep it wiped down. I sold mine for a lot more than I paid for it new as demand for Colts keeps going up.

    The only thing worse than lawbreakers, are lawmakers.
