Inexpensive semi-auto shotguns
It's Sunday afternoon and I'm looking at the ads in the Sunday supplements. Have always been interested in owning a 12 gauge semi-auto. Two ads caught my attention. Dick's Sporting Goods has a Verona 12 gauge with all the chokes for $279. Dunhams beat that with a Kahn 12 or 20 gauge (your choice) for $249.
Has anyone any experience with either of these shotguns? About all I know is that they're both made in Turkey. Isn't that where the Charles Daly come from? The Verona has an excellent rep. for over/ unders, but I believe those are still made in Italy.
I like the Remington 1100, but that's a little pricey for me.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks.

I've never owned either of these guns and I never will. My opinion is save my money and buy a nice reputable firearm.
Sorry I couldn't provide any facts for you

I would not buy one. I would say If ya want a semi-auto Go for a saiga 12 or 20ga $200-300 built alot better then ones your looking at. Love my saiga 20 ga never failed yet..[:)] 0 -
I think that Kahn is a Chinese shotgun and if so stay way clear of that.If you want a good cheap semi-auto shotgun look at a Stoeger 2000,they use Benelli's recoil enertia system and from the review I read are well made guns. They should run around $350.00 and under. 0 -
Daly is the better than he other two.
God gave us all a gift. Have you found yours yet ?0 -
I've got the Stoeger 2000, you'll like it. Not to expensive, got it from the local ffl. Used it a couple of months ago, quail hunting. The action is as stated above.
It must be right, or we wouldn't do it this way!0 -

Ditto what aglore said. EAA Baikal.Little rough around the edges as far as cosmetics go, but the ones I've been around have been durable and reliable for the money.........[8D]---- If you want a cheap gun I'd buy a pump action --- You can MAKE them cycle....Good Luck...[:D] 0 -
cheap and inexpensive go hand in hand. would you buy a cheap and inexpensive car? buy american. pay the extra for the QA and not the import costs. imagine how cheap that gun would really be if usa didnt charge those 30% import taxes? remington 1100. feed a union workers family. buy a used american gun and keep a local gun dealer in business. it my opinion and im sticking to it.

Have to agree with Aglore and Temblor. Have had one for the last two seasons and have not hade a problem of any kind. Eveything from dove loads to 3.5" #2s and Ts have gone thru it. The wood on all of them I have seen have been really nice. The wood fit leaves a little to be desired, but it spends a lot of time in the duck blind, so that doesn't bother me.
