old remington 12 info

I have an old remington 12 gauge with no model # on it. the serial # is 70412 any idea of the age or model? JIM

12 ga. what? Auto, pump, double, single shot? What are the other markings on it?

It is a 12gauge auto and looks like an auto 5 the only markings are patent dates the last one is june 19 03. JIM

prob a remington model 11.they were built on the browning design.good old guns i have 2 .don

Your "Remington Autoloading Shotgun" was made in 1909. A few years later it was designated as the model 11. This is the Browning patent long recoil design made by a number of gun makers.
