does any body know if there are any records of the most rounds fired from a pistol with no malfunctions with out ever cleaning it. a friend fired over 5000 rounds from a glock 30 with out any cleaning and it is still going strong

    please ... only post a question once then give it a couple days before posting again if there are no answers.

    In the past week this is at least the 3rd post (different folks) that has been repeated within hours of the original.



    If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!

    I read of a 10,000 round shoot-off conducted by a group of fellas over the course of one day. Fotgot the pistol, but it did the 10K.

    In the Glock archives, there was a Glock Model 22, .40 S&W, donated to the Phoenix Police Traning Acadamy, when they first came out. Glock told them to shoot it till it broke. Don't bother to clean it. After 50,000 rounds, a firing/striker broke. A fellow said it would still fire every couple of times! Was sent back to Glock and an armorer replaced the striker and springs. That was a couple years ago, cause the gun has over 100,000 rounde thru it.
