H&R Self Loader
I have a nickel plated H&R Self Loading semi auto in .25 acp. I have not been able to find much information on this gun. What I have found only shows blued versions with no mention of nickel plated versions. Does anyone know if this was available from the factory? Does anyone have any idea what the value of this piece might be?
Thanks, Ralph

this gun is a liscensed copy of the WEBELY METROPOLITIN made here in the states by H&R. while i have not seen any factory specs or referances to a NICKEL finish, i find it hard to believe there was ever a model of pistol or revolver that H&R produced that they did not slap a shiny nickel coating onto. we have one here at the shop, currently up for auction here on GB, and they are odd, but nice guns. most of the models i have handled were originaly blued, and the finish usualt turns a light gray, or had dissapeared altogether. the .25 acp version commands a premium over the .32 acp. if you can document the nickel finish as original, it would be valued higher than standard models. good lock, best regards, mike.
